Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook for Longevity

dell inspiron mini 10 netbook

My black Windows 7 Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook is tried and tested for longevity. It’s been with me for more than 3 years now and despite rigid daily usage extending up to 15 hours or more per day; it still works wonders for work and entertainment till now.

  • Intel Atom Z530 / 1.6 GHz CPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 160GB / 5400 RPM hard drive
  • 10.1 inch display
  • IntelGraphics Media Accelerator 500 graphics and accelerator
  • 56 Wh battery

The specifications above are not stellar but works well if you intend to use this netbook for Internet surfing activities including for social networking, online video streaming, email, chat, research, etc. It also works as a work computer for documents and reports in Microsoft applications and others. However, being a netbook, it can’t play audio or video disks like laptops and neither can it support countless app downloads the way tablets do.

Nonetheless, for a freelance writer like me who is literally on the web or infront of a computer for 15 hours on a daily basis researching, writing content on Word doc or directly through platforms online, and taking a break through social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, etc., this handy dandy netbook is something I can’t part with except when I sleep. 😀 And it’s been an able companion for work and play online for the past 3 years and counting.

So if you’re looking for a work notebook that won’t fail longevity tests, I recommend the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook.
