Measuring 52 x 21 x 20 millimeters and weighing only 14g, the VTech Mini DV MD80 is indeed the world’s smallest video camera.

In the previous post, we’ve talked about the world’s smallest digital video camera. Although the MD80 isn’t HD, it can still capture high resolution, low illumination images at 2000k pixels in JPEG format and record videos at high speed with quick light response at 30 frames per second and 720 x 480 AVI video output through its 2 mega pixel camera with COMS image sensor and 80 degrees viewing angle.

The item also works as a sound recorder (activated manually or through sound) and even as a web cam. No drivers or CD installation needed; its plug and play on your Microsoft Windows computer via USB 2.0. Its memory storage space can be expandable by up to 8 GB.

Its humble plastic alloy housing shaped like a thumb makes it ideal for anyone on the go. You can easily clip on your blouse, polo shirt, pockets, and belts like a brooch, pen, or belt buckle. It’s easily operated through LED indicators and is powered by 260mA lithium batteries which last for an hour.

This video camera is all you need for unexpected video recording moments and when you want it hip and handy while on the go!
