HP Slate 2 Tablet PC Announced
Those who thought that HP would be left behind in the competition for the tablet market, the company now introduces the new HP Slate 2 Tablet PC. It’s previous version Slate 500 was a good success that inspired HP to create it’s new series with much more enhanced features. HP announced a few days ago that it will be soon launching this tablet in market.
This is a Windows based tablet PC. Some of it’s features are as follows:
- 8.9 inch LCD N-tring multitouch screen
- Resolution of 1024×600
- 1.5 Ghz processor with Intel Oak Trail Z670
- 2 Gb Ram
- Windows 7 Professional
- 64 GB SATA SSD Drive
- SWYPE keyboard applet is pre-installed
- Bluetooth Stylus pen
- Wi-Fi enabled with USB 2.0 and card slot
- 3 MP rear camera and VGA front camera.
Price: starting at $699
This tablet is designed for business purpose as it’s a Windows based tablet. Time will surely tell whether the HP Slate 2 Tablet PC would be a delight for users or a destruction for HP.

This tab has been specially built for business purpose, that is why it’s quite expensive.
Yeah will have to agree with the other commenter about the price point. Seems a bit steep. Although I do understand gearing towards the business side of things as well. Only time will tell to see how it sells and is marketed.
