How You Can Make a Folder Go Invisible Without Hiding It

invis

Now this is one of the really cool tricks that I know. In this article, I will tell you how you can make any folder invisible. You might think that we can simply do it by choosing the hidden option in properties. But this is a unique and a different technique that I am going to show you.

After you make a folder hidden by choosing the hidden option in the properties, you have to go to folder options then click show hidden folders and then the folder appears. But my technique is different. Here, the folder will remain hidden but you can simply access it by opening it. As you open other folders, the folder will remain at that place only even when it is hidden.

Confused? Let me show you how it is done. Follow these steps.

Make a new folder anywhere you want. Now, choose the rename option and rename the folder with following specifications

  • Start with a space i.e., first click the space bar button
  • Then type 0160 while holding down the ALT key. You will get a folder without a name, something like this:
  • Now right click on the folder that you have created and then go to customize tab. There you will find an option named change icon. Open it.

  • When you click the change icon button, a new window will appear. In that window, look for some blank spaces.

  • Choose it and then click ok and you are done. You will see that the folder becomes invisible but at the same time the folder is at the same place. If you move your mouse over that place where the folder was, you will find that the folder is there only and has become invisible and only you know where it is .

This is a real cool trick that you can use for your own benefit as no one will ever know that there is a folder anywhere even when they show all the hidden folders because this trick will make the folder invisible to everyone except you.

I hope you like it.
